EAC Certificate
EAC (Eurasian Conformity - Eurasian Conformity) Certificate is one of the eligibility certificates required for product sales to the countries within the Eurasian Customs Union. EAC Certificate is requested from the producers who want to export the products covered by EAC to these countries. Products bearing the EAC mark show that the required conformity assessment procedures have been successfully passed.
Before the EAC regulation came, conformity assessments were made over GOST and TR standards. In 2010, customs agreement between Russia and some countries came into force; the number of members in the has increased over time. The uniform EAC sign of the customs was defined by the decision of the Board of EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) Commission No. 711 dated 15 July 2011.

Important Considerations About EAC Certificate
• If a product is covered by one or more technical regulations related to EAC, an EAC mark must be placed on it in countries where the EAC Certificate is valid before it is placed on the market. In this context, all technical regulations concerning the product should be reviewed.
• Manufacturers of products covered by EAC are responsible for what technical regulations they must comply with during the manufacturing process.
• A product covered by the EAC Certificate may be placed on the market provided that it complies with the provisions of the most up-to-date technical regulations. In this context, manufacturers should closely follow all developments regarding EAC procedures.
• After getting the EAC Certificate, the manufacturer must place an EAC mark on it before placing the product on the market.
• The manufacturer should work with an authorized agency for EAC conformity assessment, if necessary.
• The EAC mark placed on the product has a specific format, just like the CE mark. Therefore, no other sign or seal of approval is allowed, which may replace the "EAC" statement with the EAC sign.
• The EAC mark indicates that the product fully meets the basic safety requirements specified in EAC procedures and related technical regulations.

Benefits of EAC Certificate
Certified producers have a faster access to the markets of the countries within the Eurasia Customs Union. In addition, it minimizes all kinds of legal risks and responsibilities related to the product. Within the EAC process, information is shared about the products that are guaranteed for conformity. This minimizes the time associated with works such as design, production, testing etc. and minimizes costs.
Producers holding EAC Certificates also increase the number of countries they can export. This increases operating income and profitability rate; it also improves business prestige. The sale of products that meet the necessary compliance and safety criteria abroad also increases the customer satisfaction of the manufacturers and ensures that all stakeholders have a respected business identity.

EAC Certificate Process
The following steps are briefly followed during the certification process:
1. Determination of the standards of the product
2. Creating a certification plan according to EAC directives (training, documentation, testing, analysis etc.)
3. Implementation of certification procedures
4. Creating and affixing the EAC label of the product
5. Following the validity period of the document (1, 3 or 5 years), renewal at the end of the period
