It provides organizations with guidance on integrating OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety elements with general policy and management arrangements.
Compliance with Other Management Systems
The OHSAS 18001 certificate standard does not include specific requests of other management systems (ISO 9001 Quality Management System certificate, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certificate, ISO 22000 HACCP Food Safety Management System certificate) but can be integrated. Although the aims and philosophies they want to bring to the organizations are different, they can be integrated by considering their activities. For example, all of the above mentioned standards include some issues such as document control, record control, training, management review, corrective and preventive activities and internal audits and can be applied in a common way although each standard has some differences in the operation of these issues.
